Jesus, this game is huge. The character movement is extremely slow and I think the size of the game effects how smoothly it plays. This is another simple drop and catch game, so it's not to exciting or interesting, but the art was nice.

I like the minor tweaks you implemented since your test game; the controls are a lot more smooth now. I still would like the option of using the arrow keys instead of WASD, but this is really shaping up to be a pretty cool little platformer, and I'm eager to play the finished product.
Nice work.
Fun game; just enough difficulty and upgrades to keep the player entertained. Loved the little "easter egg" at the end... definitely the bane of my childhood PC gaming days.
The only thing I might mention for improvement is an anti-rocket power-up and more enemies... But the game is fine already. Thanks for the time burner.
This is awfully short and there isn't many things to do. I like the style though; you don't see text-based adventures much anymore. This definitely reminds me of searching through my C: folder in DOS. I definitely hope you guys make another similar game with a more enriched story line.
Thanks for your review.
This game is so short 'coz it was made in 24 (to tell the truth, in less) hours.
The controls are pretty fast. Too fast, in fact. I jump - I can't shoot. I try to run and jump - I end up running and not doing so much jumping.
I start a game, don't touch any controls, and I die. Not a forgiving game. The jump to the second platform is near impossible is one wants to shoot the demon dead before jumping...
... I'm super drunk right now, but there's many a thing wrong with this game. I should be able to shoot mid-air. The gravity is extremely unforgiving. There should be fewer enemies on the first couple platforms.
Goof game.
I'll try to give a more legit run-down tomorrow when I'm not so inebriated... Yes, I spelled that right.
Not much to judge on, but I think this could potentially be a very interesting game. The movement seems a bit slow, and the control keys are mapped a little weird. The only possible glitch I did see was that I ran out of health fighting rats but didn't die.
I'll be waiting to see how this game turns out; good luck.
Death wasn't implemented into the alpha, and we didn't have a running animation so if we made the player any faster it would look very awkward.
We're thinking of adding stamina into the game, sprinting costs stamina but stamina can be replenished by walking/resting and drinking potions.
Thanks for your advice man :)
Well, this game certainly looks nice. The controls, however are extremely buggy. The web swing is hard to activate and to understand the physics of. The character movement is clunky, simply jumping off a wall proves difficult at times and the need to hold down the action button to complete a kick can be irritating.
As Kid8088 put it; This game has a ton of potential - it just needs a lot reworking and refinement. Good luck, and keep at it.
Will definitely work harder on refining, got alot of good ideas so the next game will be better
As mentioned, the pace does seem a tad slow and the slide when stopping can be annoying in games that have skill jumps, but I don't see anything major wrong with this game. The control menu would definitely be appreciated.
I'll definitely keep my eye out to see how this project turns out. Good luck!
Thanks!
The slide is a little lower now.
A game much akin to Stinger and Defender, minus the ability to shoot. The gameplay is repetitive and frustrating. The random spawn of enemies and obstacles is something common in games such as this, but this game sometimes just refuses the ability to evade them. A spike may pose as an obstacle with an asteroid blocking the only available exit. The ability to collect stars is also hindered by this. There are times where the terrain gives way to a jump where stars lay intangible just on the other side.
This game might improve greatly with a feature, besides a bomb with the sole purpose of protecting your ship in case you run into anything... which you will.
All in all, this game was fairly smooth running, and the biggest redeeming factor was the slightly whimsical artwork. Perhaps there is an audience for this game, but it's not something I'd play again. Good luck, and keep at it.
Not bad. The later levels get pretty laggy, I assume because of the growing number of zombies and turret missles. The game concept has been done before, but I still think this was executed well and there was enough variation in the enemies and upgrades to play through the entire game without getting bored. The difficulty was pretty fair - if anything I might say a bit too easy.
Short, yet entertaining enough to beat in one sitting. Nicely done; keep up the good work.
